ABOUT US

Overlooking the 19th century botanical garden of the Chavchavadze family eighteen-hectare estate, the historic Tsinandali Hotel offers top-notch service and amenities from a tranquil part of Georgia.

Across from the iconic hotel is the Alexander Chavchvadze museum, which is notable for frequent exhibitions of modern and classical art as well as musical performances. The museum hosts exhibitions including the works of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian as well as local Georgian artists of various periods. The hotel consists of two small buildings stylized to resemble Kakhetian architecture of the late middle Ages.

This exclusive resort is rich with history and tradition. In Soviet times, it was a state-managed guesthouse hosting Soviet and foreign officials. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and later President of Georgia, Eduard Shevardnadze was a particularly frequent guest. The hotel has also been visited by Soviet Head of State Leonid Brezhnev and Cuban President Fidel Castro. The dining room located on the ground floor was designed by renowned Georgian-Russian sculptor and painter, Zurab Tsereteli. The engraved walls and four-ton chandelier are true artifacts of the Soviet era. The Tsinandali Еstate, including the hotel, is an undivided historical complex and has Immovable Cultural Heritage status. The park was designed by Arnold Regal (1946-1917), a prominent landscape architect from St. Petersburg and is the first park in Georgia developed in a traditional European Style.

The lodging complex is comprised of twenty-one rooms, all of which offer guests a comfortable stay in an area of Tbilisi known for its serene beauty with an exquisite view of the Georgian countryside. Each room is furnished in a simple, contemporary style with a private bathroom with all the standard amenities, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with full cable packages and a balcony overlooking the botanical garden.

Guests of the hotel will be able to enjoy traditional Kakhetian cuisine accompanied by a local specialty, orange wine. The Tsinandali Hotel is the ideal place to stay if you are looking for scenic and calm lodgings whether you are on a business trip, getting together with family or friends or simply want a few days for self-rejuvenation. The resort also offers a comfortable conference room perfect for hosting small-scale conferences or a traditional Georgian “supra” or feast.
